110 2018 Yearbook Because Taiwan makes an early step into the ageing society, and the ageing problem in China is more serious than Taiwan, Taiwan earns 10 years’ experience ahead of China. If Taiwan can achieve several key elements, such as successful transformation, integrated services export of medical care, technology, and culture, and furthermore, cross-domain extension development, industrial and regional integration, or other operational or marketing models, later on, the whole elements can be applied in the Chinese market and create tremendous silver business. Suggestions to Taiwanese entrepreneurs From the above-mentioned analysis and observations, it is clear that ageing is a critical trend now and future. The inevitable changing industrial structures need to kick off earlier so as to seize the unlimited business opportunities of the silver industry. It is suggested that enterprises start from investigations and researches on the demands of the ageing market and thus based on the results as the concepts of product designs or services. Then the product or service with humanity design, convenience, user-friendliness and safety can be developed. However, it is not recommend to emphasize the usage for the old people while conducting R&D, but to focus on the general or human design in order to pool more users and broaden the level of acceptance. Secondly, Taiwan’s information and communication technology can be brought into the development of these products such as services, mobile devices, etc., and then establish a sound service network so to increase the convenience of service for the old people, the effective of service web-linking, the instantaneity of information, and moreover, to setup the network of smart life service. In the meantime, community silver- haired services can be planned and promoted based on their daily activities or habits. By the strategies above, the sense of identification and participation will be lifted as well, furthermore, it will strengthen and combine the community resources or energies, and the service range will be enlarged accordingly. Last but not least, it is highly recommend to establish a demonstration site in Taiwan, where the relevant products or services can be used or applied, for domestic companies who are eager to develop the silver industry. After that, they can apply the feasible business model or products abroad and expand to overseas markets.
