WTO Public Forum TV 2013: Dr. George Wood's Interview

George Wood, Ph.D., Honor Academician at Taiwan Economic D&R Academy

Representing, I feel highly honored to be invited at WTO Public Forum2014. From the beginning of the international meetings, I keep on promoting the products made in Taiwan (MIT) with my highest loving-Taiwan spirit. I haven’t had one minute feeling tired or exhausted. What I would like to emphasize is TAIWAN could make more publicity at such an international arena. No matter how Taiwan is ignored intentionally or carelessly, I simply keep on raising my voice.

Yesterday, WTO TV interviewed me. Today, I will have another interview. I think it does not matter people in Taiwan can’t see this, what matters is an ordinary and patriotic person like me will be courageous to raise voices continuously at international occasions like WTO Public Forum.

TAIWAN is my country, a piece of precious land where I grow up and I call TAIWAN is another mother of mine!

@Taiwan is where I make my dreams come true!
Taiwan’s industries are full of opportunities. There are always space to improve and make breakthroughs!

@Taiwan is a place where people make efforts and can expect a better life!
Taiwan people are always hard-working and confident, always diligent to make contributions for their family and for the lovely country!

@ Taiwan’s status
The governing party has always ups and downs, failure and success, and everlasting conflicts. Ordinary people like me can only wait silently to see the changes. There is no position to make comments. And I certainly would like to make judgement!

@ Taiwan’s future
Like ants, we can pool tremendous powers.
Like a fool, moving mountains relies on people’s togetherness.
It seems afar to tell the right and wrong in the history book.
Surprising obstacles always on the way, we can only continue to sigh.
No matter how, I keep loving Taiwan and my homeland which I think is always right.
What I say, how I dress is clear and neat as if the clarity of Chinese colored glass.
At proper moment, I know that I shall follow the voices from my heart.
Whenever I raise my head and overlook at the sky of Taiwan, I feel this is the place where I love to live.

At last I wish Taiwan, people in Taiwan, all the very best!
