Building
upon its success at TaiSPO 2010, TaiSPO 2011 will field more than 400
exhibitors who will use 1,800 booths. Itˇ¦s projected that this
showcase will attract 16,500 domestic and overseas visitors.

Worldˇ¦s Premier Platform for Sporting Goods |
The total
output of sporting goods in Taiwan is NT$ 60 billion and up to 90% of
them was exported to countries worldwide, making sporting goods the
fifth largest export industry in Taiwan.
Even
though started off as a main OEM and ODM nation in the global sporting
goods industryˇX it was the manufacture country for Spalding, PUMA,
Ashworth and
Stinga ˇXTaiwan has transformed into an important place
to introduce value-added and hi-tech sporting product brands.
Big names
such as SportsArt Fitness, Hono Golf Taiwan, Giant, Johnson and Merida
have proved Taiwan is capable of establishing international brands by
combing its outstanding manufacturing expertise, innovation and
cutting-edge technology.
Products
have moved a long way from the utility bar-bell stage. They now
embrace fashion, style and class. In fact, one of Taiwanˇ¦s outstanding
achievements has been in the field of textile-manufacturing of
products so evident at the FIFA
World Cup 2010: Nine of the 32 participating teams
including USA, South Korea, Brazil and Portugal wore uniforms using a
special type of fabric made in Taiwan out of recycled PET bottles.
Only
Taiwan and Japan have this advanced expertise to make this
eco-friendly sports clothing.
