57 Sensor Technology in Cooperation with Artificial Intelligence (AI) In the past, when a patient needs a health check or evaluation, the patient has to go to hospital. Either through a doctor’s interrogation, palpation or through the detections of precision instruments to get further diagnosis from the doctor with the test results and better know the illness. However, with the increasing demands of medical care, this approach, as estimated, would be overloaded for the medical system. Fortunately, moving with the fast development of micro sensor detection tech as well as artificial intelligence (AI), doctors do not need to give diagnosis at the hospital or at the laboratory after applying the expensive medical instruments to get the test results. At present, they are able to complete the diagnosis with micro sensors together with artificial intelligence. This breakthrough benefits not only the public who like to manage their own health with medical records but also the health care worker or medical services who can speed up the medical evaluation and increase objectivity. Even this way can meet the demands of distance health care or telemedicine. Wearable technology with the assistance of sensor and the user’s information easily collect various and great amount of data. However, these data are all mixed type of information. They would disturb each other and will not be useful and meaningful after algorithm. This problem has made many researchers and R&D personnel perplexed. Thanks to the development of artificial intelligence. This problem can be solved now. For example, using inertial measurement unit to calculate the joint angle while running, ground reaction force and so on. This method will reduce the time to collect data and analysis to a great extent. Also it can instantly provide the health care worker or medical services with practical movement data, and even carry out long-time monitoring as well as distance care. Nevertheless, when the collected data is massive and complex, it will be time-consuming for health care worker or medical services to categorize and analyze the data. At this time, the big data in correspondence with AI will give a boost to help health care worker or medical services to read all the data. According to the data of Ten-Year Long-term Care Program 2.0 in Taiwan published by the Ministry of Health andWelfare, the increasing number of home rehabilitation from 2008 to 2015 is more than 20,000 people. Confronting the rising home care population, the shortage of health care worker or medical services, we may think to make good use of wearable devices in the near future or even now to monitor the physical activities of those home care patients together with AI to proceed big data analysis and integrate relevant clinic pathological parameters. As predicted, it will enhance the diagnosis efficiency of health care worker or medical services and to realize distance home
