40 2021 Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association About TSMA Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (TSMA), established by 16 Taiwanese sports racket manufacturers in 1972, is the most representative platform among Taiwan’s sports industry, the Government, international sports organizations or institutes like WFSGI or SFIA and global sports show companies. For foreign trade promotion, TSMA annually recruits members to participate in global sports, fitness, golf or other major trade shows. From time to time, via e-Newsletter, we provide timely market news or sports trends, etc. In addition, we also edit the annual export value of Taiwan’s sports products, publicize govern- ment policies or subsidies during this pandemic period of time of 2020. Due to the development of COV- ID-19, the local government promotes all kinds of training courses or digital transformation projects for en- trepreneurs to grasp this chance to upgrade or make transformations. Taiwan S-Team Elite League under the structure of TSMA is a fitness alliance initiated in 2011 by Mr. Peter Lo, the founder and CEO of Johnson Health Tech. The major mission is to promote lean production and man- agement. All the members meet together to share experiences and also their observations at overseas learn- ing tours. At present, this team is led by Mr. Vince Wu, the CEO of Tonic Fitness Tech. Inc. the current chairman. He expects to shine Taiwan-made or Taiwan-design brand and upgrade marketing strategies and enhance quality image. The road ahead is to increase high-end R&D and manufacturing strength in the global fitness markets. On the global stage, TSMA is an inaugural member of the World Federation of Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI). It is the world authoritative body for the sports industry officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the industry representative within the Olympic Family. Our chief representative, Dr. George Wood, also TSMA Honorary President, regularly takes part in its annual meetings as board director to raise voices for Taiwan’s sports industry. TSMA is also a member of the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA), the most authoritative sports & fitness association in the U.S. It is a trusted body and a pool of global brands, suppliers, retailers and partners home and abroad. TSMA continues playing an active role on these international platforms by attending the annual meetings or promote sports events.
