Among all the sports product categories, fitness equipment is still ranked as number one; the next are golf, outdoor and leisure products, other sports and water pro- ductions. The export percentage of fitness equip- ment is 53.5% with a growth rate of 6.15%. The export values of golf and outdoor products both declined with 17.88% and 1.17% respectively. On the other hand, there are products like camping and tennis which show outstanding performance with 16.58% and 216.28% growth rates. Though, as indicated, the sports industry has been shocked by the trade conflicts between China and the U.S.A, by the impacts of COVID-19, the sales of certain sports categories do not drop but increase. This also pre- sents the advantages of sports products made in Taiwan. Under TSMA, we have Taiwan’s S-Team Elite League which was initiated and organized by the major fitness leaders, also TSMA members. They promote lean production to continuously improve production management and carry on innovation. They learn from each other and make experience exchanges. They now apply the artificial technolo- gy (AI), smart technology to their production lines and products for transforming their production and services to become professional supply chains. As expected, our member wish to keep up with times and be highly competitive with the global players and brands with high creativeness and service-oriented professionalism. Thus, Taiwan could be the global high-quality, R&D service center to help all sports enterprises to expand international sports markets and make the brand, MIT, more popular and well-known. TSMA team leads all members with all efforts to explore new markets, to promote digital transformation, and to promote all people sports for health with sports science concepts and advices. We continue to put more social corporate responsibility into practice and wish all people and the government care about sports vis-à-vis disease prevention. Now we are entering the elderly era all around the globe. There shall be more input and infrastructure as well as health nourishing plans into this huge markets. TSMA wish all governments and en- terprises worldwide can develop more sports talents for this market and prepare them to en- ter this health promotion and long-term health care fields, etc. The best way is to build a health and sports ecosystem home and abroad. The global sporting goods industry can be booming and our industry still have the leading position in the international markets.
