According to the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Population Division at the United Nations, in its latest World Population Prospects: The 2019 Revision. The total number of the global population will grow from 7.7 billion of people up to 9.7 billion in 2050. Furthermore, in view of the ageing demographic structure and trends, Europe and the northern America have the highest ageing population ratio in 2019. As statistic shows, the ratio of the elderly people who are above 65 years old is 18% in these regions. The next are Australia and New Zealand, 15.9%. Then comes the East Asia and the Southeast Asia whose elderly population ratio is 11.2% and the Latin America, 8.7%. However, if we look from the perspective of growth rate of the elderly population , the Asia and the Latin America, compared with other regions, have grown quickly by multiple times.
