Doing exercise is a good way to improve living quality. It means regular exercise and empower the on-taken medical effects and furthermore, there are chances to decrease the drug dose. According to the recommendations the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), under the circumstance that people are obliged to do aerobic exercise with the medium intensity three times a week at least and the exercise timespan all in all is not less than one hundred and fifty minutes, the blood sugar would be controlled effectively. If the patients already have the habit of doing sports, it is suggested to increase the intensity to a higher level and also gradually extend the sports time to three hundred minutes per week. If patients can do resistance trainings two to three times a week, the effect to control the blood sugar would be more evident. When the patients of diabetes start to do sports trainings, please pay attention to the following points. High and low blood sugar: Compare with high blood sugar, when patients are doing sports or after sports, they might have low blood sugar. This condition shall be more watched out and it shall be treated right away. Therefore, one or two hours before sports, they shall have some snacks with sugar. Also measure the blood sugar level before and after doing sports. During the sports time, they shall have some drinks containing sugar. It is significant to find the symptom of low blood sugar earlier and treat it in time. In order to keep safe, patients shall also bear in mind not to do sports when the effect of oral hypoglycemic drugs is getting strong.
