64 2019 Yearbook It is the first step to take the chal- lenge, to provide solutions and to be successful: to participate the process of re-correcting the sports concept of the participant or patient, that is, to re-educate. Gym Tonic Solution mainly focuses on the elderly people over sixty-five years old. The most challeng- ing in the promoting process shows that many of them have reasons not to do sports. And most of the reasons are not correct, and misunderstanding. A great amount of time and human resource need to be invested to clarify, communicate and re-ed- ucate to infuse the elderly people with correct rec- ognitions. This phrase usually takes about two to three weeks. After this period of time, most partic- ipants can do sports correctly and autonomously. And here are common false concepts and misun- derstandings which are explained in the following paragraphs. 1. The concepts of daily activities and exercising are often confusing. The middle-aged and elder- ly people usually think that their daily activities such as taking walks, house chores, child caring, etc. are counted as sufficient exercise in a day. They believe these daily physical or labor activi- ties shall be enough. There shall be no necessity to do muscular sports. However, the fact is that people, over the middle-aged, will lose muscles and there muscular power will not be enough even doing all these daily activities. These mid- dle-aged and elderly people who think their dai- ly activities are enough are actually the high-risk population who encounter falls. 2.Those with physical injuries or who once had operations think they are unable to do sports. Considering being injured or having a one-sided stroke, the elderly people believe that it is risky and challenging to do muscular-enhancing sports by using fitness equipment. Apart from insufficient confidence, they have the first im- pression that kind of sports has considerable risks so that they refuse to do muscular trainings. As a matter of fact, taking the one-sided stroked patient, they still can do sports with the other part of the body, that is, their side muscles, and as proved, the sports can increase the autonomy of the patient and movement capabilities. In the meantime, the training can delay the speed of losing muscles. Furthermore, this can reduce the burdens of the care givers. 3.The existing discomfort and painful feelings at body parts. Most of the people cannot tell the feeling of pains. Regardless of the middle-aged and the elderly people, they often say they have sore knees, sore waist, wrist pains, hand pains, or shoulder pains. As long as they have certain painful feelings, they will not do any sports before the pain goes away. Actually, it is very important to help recognizing the differences
