TSMA Yearbook 2018
38 2018 Yearbook Digitization will be a great and new opportunity of our industry. Changing business models, revolutionary design tools, new production and manufacturing processes, changed consumer journeys and immersing sports experiences. Digital strategies will make the difference for successful industries. Cross-industry collaboration will help sporting goods companies seize these new opportunities. Looking at 2018, TSMA and the regional federations are working to ensure they can equip their members to be prepared and ready to lead upcoming trends and changes to seize opportunities for the global Sporting Goods Industry. Asia continues to be a key region for rising sporting goods sales and remains the hub of sports goods manufacturing. Our industry encompasses all regions of the world, thus reflecting the challenges of operating in a global context. How can we make our entire industry more sustainable and fit for the future so it stays ahead of the game? TSMA has recognized the importance and collaborated with WFSGI to lead discussions around future sustainable and innovative manufacturing. The WFSGI World Manufacturers Forum was hosted already twice by TSMA in Taipei and Taichung. The next step will be to identify how the sporting goods industry can move on to a digital and automated business of the future. TSMA is a long term, valued member of WFSGI and we look forward to a strong future together. Robbert De Kock President/ CEO, WFSGI World Federation Of The Sporting Goods Industry
