33 Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association relevant meetings of the World Federation of Sporting Goods Industries (WFSGI), gathering business information, and promoting trade activities in order to help the government and businesses jointly develop Taiwan’s market, achieve outstanding results, and affirm remarkable worthiness. To assist Taiwanese companies expand into international markets, the BOFT annually advances various promotional plans and projects for trade, integrates public and private sector resources, and holds multi-faceted marketing activities, such as organizing delegations to attend overseas exhibitions and expand sales, inviting buyers to visit Taiwan for procurement, handling activities for overseas marketing channels, and utilizing the development of cross-border e-commerce. The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) have set up overseas offices in order to be near our export and import markets and provide services to Taiwanese businesses so that they can deepen their roots for expansion into local markets abroad. Integrated marketing tools are also utilized to promote the image of Taiwan’s industries internationally. In addition, by providing information on markets, training for international marketing talent, support for trade financing, and consultation and guidance for international marketing, Taiwanese firms are assisted in building their export capabilities. The Spor ting Goods Yearbook is regularly compiled by the TSMA so that domestic and foreign manufacturers can determine the best ways to seek any types of Taiwanese sporting goods and procurement channels. The rich and informative contents converge with name brands in one volume known as Taiwan’s sporting goods treasures, which I believe will enable more business opportunities to be created for the industry and high-quality Taiwanese products to be marketed to every corner of the world.
