Inertia resistance equipment gets good scores in the rate of force development and muscle activation. However, right after the high-speed concentric contraction is eccentric contraction. This process requires higher pulling power. Even in the past, the literature shows that the results are beneficial; nevertheless, without complete learning and knowing the correct methods to use the equipment, it is more likely to cause sports injuries. Elastic band resistance equipment at the high, medium and low intensity levels, the rate of force development is not good as expected. Comparatively, it is not proper for the older people to do explosive strength training. Finally, weights stacks and hydraulic resistance equipment share the advantage of universalness. From the perspective of the force development rate, there is not much difference between these two categories, either. In the process of doing sports, in order to pursue a higher level of training, weights stacks need to be piled up one time after another. This movement will get unnecessary injuries more easily compared with hydraulic training equipment which only requires the user to adjust hydraulic resistance to increase sports speed and keep safe. Generally speaking, regarding to the specific resistance training for the old people, hydraulic resistance training equipment is a rather safe and effective choice.
