The important position of software to enhance productivity Industry 4.0 interweaves virtual and physical world, where software provides significant functions. On the digitalized enterprise platform controlled by software, various production stages are seamlessly connected and they are independent from the real production to conduct simulation and optimization. The management software of product life cycle as well as automation software technology can reduce 1.For example, software can simulate the current machines and process equipment to conduct planning and improvement of production lines on the computer. Another example is to digitalize the mechanical operation, and based on the mistakes revealed by the digitalized data to correct the deviation during the manufacturing process, without the need to inspect and study the actual objects. Such kind of simulation or virtualization can substantially enhance the productivity and competitiveness of manufacturing. Diagram 2.
